Ramya Venugopal, project manager at Magnifi Group, has returned from DevLearn Conference & Expo after taking part in a special xAPI Camp. DevLearn is one of the largest conventions for eLearning technology. Those who attend are given the tools to help advance their company’s use of technology.
Cate Gordon, project manager at Magnifi Group, recently returned from a different xAPI Camp held at the Autodesk Gallery in San Francisco.
Both xAPI Camps focused on giving attendees the opportunity to learn the best ways to utilize xAPI. xAPI, also known as Experience API or Tin Can API, is a tool used to make real-world situations trackable and reportable. By being able to track this information, the data can be used to determine the effectiveness of a course. In addition to the exposure to Experience API, the conference provides small group learning sessions which provide the attendee with an enhanced learning experience.
“The sessions provided me an opportunity to interact with xAPI adopters in the e-learning industry. The experts presented various concepts and case studies and latest news on CMi-5 standard working with xAPI. Over all, it was a great learning experience.” –Ramya Venugopal.
“The xAPI Camp was a great learning and networking experience. I learned a lot about the ways we can use xAPI to create useful learning experiences for our clients and how to strategize data and content more effectively.” –Cate Gordon
